Legal information

Website terms.

These terms explain the status of the product and commercial information presented on this website.

Last updated 24 August 2026

1. Website operator

General sales enquiries may be sent to sales@steeltradeuk.co.uk. The legal name, registration information, service address and formal operator details will be added when finalised. The legal contracting party for any transaction will be identified in the applicable quotation and order documents.

2. Information only

The website provides general product and supply information. It is not an offer, binding quotation, contract, warranty or commitment to supply. A transaction arises only through separately agreed written quotation, purchase and contract documents.

3. Product information

Specifications, grades, dimensions, availability, quantities, lead times, packing, origin and document requirements must be confirmed for each order. Information shown on the website may be updated and should not replace the final technical and commercial documents.

4. Standards and conformity references

Any reference to BS 4449, BS 8666, CARES or another standard or conformity scheme applies only to the relevant producer, product, certificate, approved scope and current order documentation. The commercial representative is not the standards body, certifying body or downstream reinforcement processor.

5. Images

Product photographs are representative catalogue imagery. Actual surface appearance, markings, bundles, coils, packaging and shipment presentation may differ and are confirmed through the applicable order documents.

6. Quotations, prices and orders

Prices are provided only in written, enquiry-specific quotations. Every quotation may have a stated validity period and remains subject to the specified product, quantity, payment, banking, delivery and documentation conditions. Minimum order quantities are available on request.

7. Delivery terms

Where CIF is agreed, the quotation should identify the named UK destination port and incorporate Incoterms® 2020. Cost, insurance, freight, transfer of risk, import formalities, duties, VAT, destination charges, storage, demurrage, inland haulage and offloading are governed by the written quotation and contract.

8. External references

References to third-party organisations, standards and websites are provided for context. Their names and marks belong to their respective owners, and links do not imply endorsement of every product or commercial statement on this website.

9. Liability and governing terms

To the extent permitted by applicable law, decisions should not be based solely on general website information. The governing law, dispute provisions, warranties, claims procedure and limitations applicable to a transaction will be stated in the signed or otherwise accepted commercial documents.

10. Changes

These website terms may be updated as the commercial structure, contact details, product offer or applicable requirements change.
